Underlord vs Centaur Warrunner

How this matchup plays

Trying to run at a team as Centaur Warrunner gets complicated when Underlord is on the other side. Your goal is to initiate with a big charge or a blink-stomp, but Pit of Malice is a perfect tool for stopping that momentum, rooting you and any teammates who followed. During the laning stage, Atrophy Aura makes trading hits feel awful, constantly reducing the damage you need to secure farm and pressure the lane. Even your high health pool feels less secure when Firestorm is raining down, chipping away at you constantly.

This tension defines the matchup across the whole game. Centaur wants to force quick, decisive fights, but Underlord excels at slowing the game down and creating a messy battlefield where his team has the advantage. The damage reduction from his aura weakens the follow-up on a Stampede, making it harder to secure kills on your primary target. A Centaur can still find success by coordinating a gank away from Underlord's position, but in a straight five-on-five teamfight, Underlord often has the tools to blunt Centaur's sharpest attacks.
