The Esports World Cup is an annual multi-game festival held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation. It launched in 2024 as the successor to Gamers8 and has become the largest single esports event by combined prize pool — $75 million across all competitions in 2026.
Clubs, not countries, compete: professional organizations field rosters across multiple titles and also race for the cross-game Club Championship, which rewards consistent placements across the whole festival.
