Underlord vs Dark Willow

How this matchup plays

Getting caught in a Pit of Malice is a huge problem for Dark Willow. Even if she activates Shadow Realm, she's still rooted in place, making her an easy target for Underlord's Firestorm or any follow-up from his team. While Atrophy Aura doesn't reduce her spell damage, Underlord’s general bulkiness means he can often survive her full combo, including Bedlam. When his own team is grouped up, his ability to build items like Pipe of Insight further dampens her magic burst, leaving her vulnerable after she commits her spells.

Throughout the game, Underlord wants to establish a frontline and dare the enemy to walk into his area-denial spells. This forces Dark Willow to play from the absolute fringes of a fight, which makes it harder for her to land a multi-hero Terrorize or get full value from Bedlam. She has to rely on catching a lone target or using her spells defensively to escape. The lane is manageable for her, but once teams start grouping up, Underlord's constant pressure and lockdown make her job much more difficult.
