Underlord vs Lina

How this matchup plays

Lining up a full combo on Underlord often feels like a waste for Lina. His natural bulk and tendency to build magic resistance means he can frequently survive her Laguna Blade, even at her peak timings. While her spell damage bypasses his Atrophy Aura, that same aura makes it very difficult for her to finish him off with right-clicks afterward. On the other side, Underlord's spells feel too slow to reliably kill a Lina. A well-placed Pit of Malice can be a death sentence, but her high movement speed from Fiery Soul stacks allows her to kite on the edge of fights, staying clear of his effective range.

The result is a matchup where both heroes would rather focus on other targets. Lina typically hunts for Underlord's squishier teammates, using her mobility to find pickoffs on the map. Underlord, in turn, acts as a frontline anchor, using his area control to protect his allies from her or to trap her for his team to collapse on. The game is less about a direct confrontation between them and more about which hero better enables their team to execute its own plan. Neither fundamentally stops what the other wants to do.
