How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down a slippery hero like Mirana is often where Underlord's game plan falls apart. Her Leap provides a clean escape from a single cast of Pit of Malice, letting her easily reposition. The matchup hinges on this interaction. While she can dodge the initial root, Underlord's area control is persistent. In an extended teamfight, he can often cast his spells again before her Leap is back off cooldown, forcing her to play from a very safe distance. It becomes a direct contest between her mobility and his sustained control over a large area.

This dynamic creates a constant tension. During the laning stage, Underlord can make Mirana’s life difficult with Firestorm, shoving the wave and reducing her opportunities to land a good Sacred Arrow. In later teamfights, Underlord aims to lock down Mirana's allies, hoping to catch her in the chaos.
