Underlord vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Pushing out lanes with Firestorm gives Underlord a consistent map pressure advantage that Warlock can't easily match. This often forces Warlock to react and defend towers, delaying his own key timings. In the ensuing fights, Underlord's Atrophy Aura directly reduces the damage from Warlock’s Golems, making his ultimate significantly less threatening. Warlock’s spells like Fatal Bonds and Upheaval rely on enemies grouping up, but Pit of Malice and Firestorm punish that exact positioning, making it hard for Warlock’s team to capitalize on his setup.

Teamfights become a problem for Warlock. He wants to land his Chaotic Offering and have his team follow up, but Underlord is great at weathering that initial burst and turning the engagement. Anyone slowed by Upheaval becomes an easy target to be rooted by Pit of Malice and burned by Firestorm. Warlock's team is forced into a difficult choice: commit to the fight inside Underlord’s spells and hope for the best, or try to scatter and get picked off. It's not a hard counter, but it makes executing Warlock's game plan much more difficult.
