Alchemist vs Batrider

How this matchup plays

Catching an Alchemist with Flaming Lasso often feels less effective than it does against other cores. Once Alchemist activates Chemical Rage, his health regeneration and status resistance make him surprisingly difficult to kill during the lasso's duration. He can't be easily bursted down by Batrider and his team. The ultimate also dispels the stacks of Sticky Napalm that Batrider has built up, weakening the follow-up damage and turn speed slow. What should be a guaranteed kill can turn into a minor reposition if Alchemist has his ultimate ready.

The matchup then becomes a game of timings. Early on, a roaming Batrider can create serious problems for Alchemist, disrupting his farm and delaying his key items. This is Batrider's window. Later in the game, a farmed Alchemist is too durable for Batrider to handle alone. Batrider is then forced to change targets, looking to initiate on Alchemist's supports instead to create a favorable teamfight. It really comes down to whether Batrider can create enough pressure early to shut down the farm before Alchemist becomes an unkillable raid boss.
