Alchemist vs Death Prophet

How this matchup plays

Thinking Death Prophet's drain will overwhelm Alchemist is a common mistake. Once Alchemist gets Chemical Rage online, his regeneration often negates a lot of the damage coming from Spirit Siphon or Exorcism. He can simply stand and fight through it. However, Death Prophet's Silence is a real problem for Alchemist, preventing him from charging Unstable Concoction or using key items to escape or turn a fight. These opposing strengths tend to cancel each other out, making direct trades very situational.

This matchup usually comes down to a clash of timings and strategy. Death Prophet wants to group with her team early, using her ultimate to push down towers and create pressure. Alchemist wants to do the opposite, farming rapidly to hit an item timing that lets him take over the game. If Alchemist gets his farm, he can burst Death Prophet down before her sustained damage becomes a factor. If her team enables her push, they can starve him out and end the game before he comes online.
