Alchemist vs Grimstroke

How this matchup plays

Thinking Soulbind will simply hold one hero in place for Alchemist's stun is a common trap. When Grimstroke is on the other team, that same spell becomes a problem. Soulbind forces Alchemist to fight a linked pair, making it much harder to isolate and burst down a single support. The bigger issue is Phantom's Embrace. A well-timed phantom provides a long silence, which is often a death sentence. It prevents Alchemist from using Chemical Rage to survive when he gets initiated on, leaving him surprisingly fragile even with a farm advantage.

This pressure starts early. Grimstroke can easily roam and set up kills on Alchemist, disrupting his timing for key items. Later on, Alchemist has to play with more respect. If he dives the backline, a good Ink Swell on his target can turn the chase around with a stun. Even if Alchemist gets a BKB, Grimstroke can often wait it out with his spells or use Soulbind to control a different core, splitting Alchemist's focus. The matchup isn't impossible for Alchemist, but it requires him to play much more cautiously than he'd like.
