Alchemist vs Hoodwink

How this matchup plays

Thinking Hoodwink can easily shut down an early-game Alchemist often proves to be a mistake. While Scurry allows her to play from the trees and threaten a Bushwhack stun, it's a risky proposition. Alchemist can simply start charging Unstable Concoction the moment she reveals herself, forcing her to either retreat or risk getting caught. If Hoodwink gets stunned inside an Acid Spray, her low health pool means she dies very quickly. Her harassment potential is real, but Alchemist has direct, punishing answers if she gets too close, creating a tense standoff.

This dynamic carries through the whole game. Hoodwink relies on kiting and staying at the edge of fights, trying to use her spells to help her team burst down a Chemical Raged Alchemist before his regeneration takes over. Alchemist, meanwhile, wants to close the distance. He can often survive Sharpshooter and, once farmed, can run straight at Hoodwink and her team. The matchup depends on execution: a perfectly aimed stun from the trees can spell doom for Alchemist, but one small positioning error from Hoodwink gets her killed.
