Alchemist vs Leshrac

How this matchup plays

Picking a sustained magic damage dealer into Alchemist is a tricky call. The core of Leshrac's kit is designed to wear opponents down over time with constant spell output. However, once Alchemist has a few levels in Chemical Rage, its massive health regeneration can often negate a lot of that pressure, allowing him to fight through what would kill other heroes. This doesn't mean Alchemist is immune, but it forces Leshrac to commit heavily with his team to secure a kill. For Leshrac, success hinges on bursting Alchemist down quickly or landing a perfect Split Earth to hold him still.

The matchup often comes down to timing. Leshrac can have a strong laning phase, using his spells to bully Alchemist and potentially slow his farm. But if Alchemist gets the space he needs, Greevil's Greed will accelerate him toward his key items. At that point, Alchemist can frequently run straight at Leshrac and win a direct fight. Leshrac’s plan then shifts to kiting with his slows and relying on teammates for lockdown, hoping to end the game before Alchemist gets out of control. Alchemist's scaling gives him a natural lean in this matchup if the game goes late.
