Alchemist vs Omniknight

How this matchup plays

Guardian Angel seems like a hard counter to Alchemist on paper, but the actual dynamic is much closer. While Omniknight’s ultimate negates all of Alchemist’s physical damage, a lot of his impact comes from Acid Spray. That spell melts armor and deals consistent magic damage in a teamfight, which Guardian Angel does nothing to prevent. Because Alchemist farms so quickly, he can also rush an item like Nullifier to completely remove Omniknight's defensive buffs from a key target, letting him secure a kill regardless of saves.

The game becomes a battle of cooldowns and timings. Omniknight's team has clear windows to fight when Guardian Angel is available. Alchemist, in turn, wants to force out that long-cooldown ultimate by threatening objectives, then reset and fight again while it's down. If Alchemist gets a massive farm advantage, he can often overwhelm Omniknight's ability to save people. If the game stays relatively even, however, Omniknight’s saves become more impactful as teamfights get bigger, making it difficult for Alchemist to close things out.
