Alchemist vs Pudge

How this matchup plays

Trying to secure farm against a Pudge can feel like a tightrope walk. Alchemist uses Acid Spray to control creeps and harass, but Pudge's passive magic resistance from Flesh Heap lets him endure the damage better than most. The constant threat is Meat Hook. Before Alchemist gets his ultimate, he's fragile enough that a single successful hook is often fatal. An Alchemist might be able to stun Pudge with Unstable Concoction as he runs in, but reacting to a hook from the trees is much harder.

The game's tempo hinges on Pudge's ability to land those early hooks. Finding kills on Alchemist is the most direct way to slow down his farm and delay his item timings, with Dismember providing the perfect lockdown to finish the job. If Alchemist survives the early pressure and gets his core items, the dynamic can shift. The regeneration from Chemical Rage makes him difficult for Pudge to burst down alone, and his farming speed can quickly create a gold lead that Pudge can't match. It becomes a race of Pudge's ganking versus Alchemist's greed.
