How this matchup plays

Getting caught by a Hookshot is often a death sentence, but Alchemist has the tools to make it a close fight. Clockwerk’s combination of Power Cogs and Battery Assault is designed to isolate and burn down a single hero quickly. Against Alchemist, though, this can be a gamble. If he can survive the initial burst and activate Chemical Rage, the health regeneration often counters Clockwerk's sustained damage. This allows Alchemist to turn and fight back, using his own stun and physical damage to punish the over-extension.

The game becomes a race between pressure and greed. Clockwerk’s team wants to leverage his initiation to repeatedly find and kill Alchemist, slowing down his farm and preventing him from taking over. This means rotating together and capitalizing on every successful Hookshot. For Alchemist's side, it’s about weathering that early aggression. With good vision and a defensive support, he can often dodge the worst of the pressure, secure his core items, and then become too durable for Clockwerk to handle alone.
