Alchemist vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Wraith King with an Unstable Concoction and Chemical Rage assault is a huge commitment for Alchemist. The core problem is Reincarnation; it forces Alchemist to fight him twice, draining his ultimate duration and giving Wraith King's allies time to respond. While that second life is on cooldown, however, Wraith King is extremely vulnerable to Alchemist's high sustained damage. Likewise, Wraith King often lacks the tools to lock down and kill a hasted Alchemist kiting around the edges of an Acid Spray, making a solo kill difficult for him as well.

The entire matchup becomes a race between two different timers. Alchemist uses Greevil's Greed to accelerate into a massive mid-game item advantage, aiming to end the game before Wraith King can truly come online. Wraith King’s goal is to survive that peak timing. He uses his natural durability and his team's support to weather the storm, farming steadily towards his own core items. If Alchemist fails to break high ground during his window of power, Wraith King eventually gets the items he needs to become an unkillable front-liner who can outlast the aggression.
