Alchemist vs Sven

How this matchup plays

Fighting over farm defines this matchup. Alchemist naturally pulls ahead in gold because of Greevil's Greed, letting him hit his core items sooner. Sven can keep pace reasonably well with Great Cleave, clearing the same jungle camps and ancient stacks that Alchemist wants to secure. This competition for resources is the real early game. While Alchemist steadily builds a lead on the net worth graph, Sven’s God's Strength provides a massive damage spike that can often equalize a fight even with an item deficit. Acid Spray's armor reduction is a problem for Sven, but it's rarely enough to decide a fight on its own.

The game becomes a test of timings. Alchemist uses his item advantage to group with his team and pressure objectives, relying on Chemical Rage's regeneration to stay alive. Sven's team has to play defensively and make space until he finds his own key items. Once Sven has BKB and is ready to fight, he looks to initiate and burst Alchemist down before the high-speed regeneration from Chemical Rage can save him. If Alchemist survives that initial burst, he can usually win an extended engagement. The outcome often depends on which carry gets the jump and executes their plan first.
