Alchemist vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Fighting against an Undying is a race to see if you can out-farm his aggression. He wants to disrupt the game's pace, and the constant strength drain from Decay makes a hero like Alchemist surprisingly fragile early on, cutting his health and damage. Dropping a Tombstone in a lane or a teamfight creates a massive zone of control that Alchemist and his supports often struggle to clear out efficiently. This forces rotations and pulls Alchemist away from the jungle camps he needs to be farming, directly slowing down his game plan of getting ahead on items.

The entire match hinges on whether Alchemist can survive that initial pressure. If Undying and his team successfully take towers and secure map control, they can starve Alchemist and close out the game before he gets his core items. However, if Alchemist manages to get a good start and finishes an item like Radiance, the dynamic shifts. The zombies melt to the burn damage, and once Alchemist has his next major item, he can usually ignore Undying's nuisance and focus on ending the game himself, having completely out-scaled the early threat.
