Alchemist vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Seeing an Alchemist pick forces a choice with Vengeful Spirit: she's a strong ally for him, but arguably an even better opponent. Alchemist relies on Chemical Rage's regeneration to sustain through fights, but he has naturally low armor. Vengeful Spirit's Wave of Terror directly counters this by stripping away what little armor he has, making him extremely vulnerable to physical damage from her and her cores. Adding Nether Swap to the mix creates another problem; it can instantly pull a greedy Alchemist out of his Acid Spray or away from his team's protection, isolating him for an easy kill.

This dynamic shapes the entire game. Vengeful Spirit enables early ganks that can shut down Alchemist's farm and delay his critical item timings. Later on, even a farmed Alchemist has to be wary of his positioning, as a single Swap can spell his death regardless of his net worth.
