Alchemist vs Visage

How this matchup plays

Committing to an Alchemist pick means playing on his item clock, a plan Visage is well-equipped to disrupt. During the early and mid-game, when Alchemist is most vulnerable, Visage and his Familiars provide a lot of sustained damage and ganking potential. A well-timed rotation can easily kill Alchemist before he gets Chemical Rage or his first big items, seriously slowing down his farm. The slow from Grave Chill is particularly effective at keeping him from escaping. While a farmed Alchemist can certainly overwhelm Visage later on, that early pressure often gives the Visage player enough of an advantage to steer the game in his favor.
