Batrider vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Lassoing Wraith King often feels like a waste of a cooldown. Batrider's entire plan is to isolate one hero and pull them into his team for a quick kill, but Reincarnation means Wraith King gets a second life right where you dragged him. Your team burns spells to kill him the first time, then he stands back up, slows everyone, and starts fighting again with his own team now on top of you. It completely undermines the pickoff potential that defines Batrider. Even if the pull is successful, you haven't actually removed him from the fight.

This dynamic forces Batrider to hunt for riskier targets, often diving deep for supports while a farmed Wraith King ignores the attempt and walks down the rest of the team. As the game goes on, WK becomes an incredibly durable frontline that you can't displace. Batrider wants to create an advantage before a fight starts, but you can't really do that to a hero with two lives. Instead, Wraith King dictates the pace, forcing brawls that Batrider isn't equipped to handle and soaking up the initial burst that would normally win a skirmish.
