Batrider vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Grabbing a hero with Lasso feels like a guaranteed kill, but against Undying, it's often a trap. The moment Batrider commits, Undying can drop a Tombstone. This swarms both Batrider and his victim with zombies, completely turning the initiation on its head. The target gets focused by more than expected, and Batrider himself gets slowed and body-blocked, preventing him from dragging the enemy anywhere. Even without Tombstone, constant Decay casts soften up any potential Lasso target, making them easy to burst down the second they are caught.

This forces Batrider to completely change his game plan. Instead of leading the charge and making picks, he has to play reactively, waiting for Tombstone to be used before he can even think about going in. This passivity lets Undying's team dictate the pace of the mid-game, grouping up and pushing objectives without fear of Batrider's signature initiation. For Undying, the plan is simple: stay with your team, and the moment you see Batrider, be ready to punish his aggression.
