Batrider vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down Weaver with Flaming Lasso can feel frustrating for Batrider. While the initial pull is guaranteed, a quick Weaver can often use Time Lapse the moment it ends, completely resetting the gank and wasting Batrider’s ultimate. The key for Batrider is to stack enough Sticky Napalm before the initiation. If the turn slow is high and the damage amp is significant, Weaver can die during the drag itself, before he gets a chance to escape. Shukuchi also adds another layer, letting Weaver dodge Flamebreak and reposition to avoid getting caught in the first place, but a single misstep can still get him killed.

This dynamic makes their interactions a real test of timing and positioning across the game. Early on, Batrider can bully and kill a careless Weaver, but he has to commit his resources. In larger teamfights, the whole engagement can hinge on this cooldown trade. If Batrider successfully baits Time Lapse or catches Weaver without it, it's usually a free kill and a won fight. But if Weaver plays patiently and saves his ultimate specifically for the Lasso, he can neutralize Batrider's biggest threat, leaving him vulnerable in the middle of the enemy team.
