Bloodseeker vs Ogre Magi

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst Ogre Magi as Bloodseeker often ends in frustration. Ogre is naturally tough and doesn't mind standing still when hit by Rupture, allowing him to turn and fight with Fireblast and Ignite. A lucky Multicast can easily stun Bloodseeker long enough for Ogre or his allies to kill him. However, Ogre Magi has no natural escape. If Bloodseeker silences him with Blood Rite before he can react, Ogre becomes a vulnerable target who can't use his spells to defend himself. This makes him a risky but rewarding target for Bloodseeker to hunt.

During the laning phase, Ogre often has the upper hand with his constant harass and sustain. Later on, the outcome of a fight depends heavily on who gets the jump. Bloodseeker excels at punishing isolated heroes, and Ogre can be caught out while warding. On the other hand, Ogre sticking with his team provides excellent control and can use items to save allies caught by Rupture. Bloodlust on his own carry also creates a hero that can stand and fight Bloodseeker, turning ganks around completely. The matchup really comes down to positioning and execution.
