Bloodseeker vs Spirit Breaker

How this matchup plays

Facing a Rupture is tricky for a hero who wants to be constantly moving. Spirit Breaker’s Charge of Darkness forces him to travel a long distance, which can cause him to take a lot of damage from Bloodseeker's ultimate. This is the same reason they work well on the same team. When they're opponents, however, Spirit Breaker has a good answer in Bulldoze. The status resistance and speed boost it provides can let him ignore follow-up control and either retreat safely or turn and fight back with his own stuns from Greater Bash.

The result is a game of chicken. A gank from Spirit Breaker can easily go wrong if it reveals a low-health enemy, as Bloodseeker gains vision and speed from Thirst and can turn the fight around. In mid-game teamfights, the whole engagement can pivot on whether Bloodseeker can Rupture the charging Spirit Breaker. If he does, Bara is stuck deep in enemy territory and bleeding out. If he fails or Bara has an item like a Black King Bar, the initial charge will likely succeed. The fight often depends on which hero has better support from their team.
