How this matchup plays

Deciding to pick one of these heroes into the other is always a gamble, because they are both trying to win the same kind of messy, drawn-out fight. Bloodseeker gets extremely fast and powerful from Thirst as soon as Undying's Tombstone zombies start chipping away at everyone's health. On the other hand, the constant Strength steal from Decay can make Undying far too durable for Bloodseeker to burst down. A well-timed Bloodrite can be devastating, but if Undying survives the silence, his Flesh Golem can easily turn Bloodseeker’s aggression into a liability for his own team.

The matchup often hinges on which hero's team can better execute their game plan. Bloodseeker wants to find isolated ganks with Rupture, ideally on a different target, and snowball before Undying can establish a strong front line. His team must avoid clumping up and giving Tombstone maximum value. The Undying player, meanwhile, wants to force those grouped-up teamfights. He'll try to group early, using his team as a screen while he spams Decay and protects key allies with Soul Rip, aiming to out-sustain Bloodseeker's initial burst and win a war of attrition.
