Bounty Hunter vs Centaur Warrunner

How this matchup plays

Choosing Centaur Warrunner into a Bounty Hunter means accepting that your initiations will be far more predictable. Centaur thrives on surprising enemies from the fog with a Blink Dagger and Hoof Stomp, but Track completely negates that advantage. Constant vision on him lets the enemy team position to avoid his stun or even turn on him before he can act. The bonus gold from killing a tanky hero like Centaur is also a significant problem, as he often requires several heroes to bring down and can feed a lot of resources if a gank on him is successful.

Despite this, Centaur Warrunner can still function. His goal is to be a massive, disruptive frontline, and he can do that even while visible. Bounty Hunter himself poses little direct threat to Centaur's enormous health pool. More importantly, Stampede provides an excellent escape for any of Centaur’s allies that get picked out by a Track gank. Fights often come down to whether Bounty Hunter's team can capitalize on the vision before Centaur can force an engagement on his own terms or use his ultimate to reset a bad situation.
