Bounty Hunter vs Keeper of the Light

How this matchup plays

Picking Bounty Hunter into Keeper of the Light creates a classic predator-versus-prey dynamic that can go either way. Bounty Hunter's game plan revolves around using Shadow Walk to find a fragile target like Keeper and bursting him down. On paper, it's a good target. In practice, Keeper of the Light has a great tool to counter this: Illuminate. By constantly shoving the wave from a safe distance, he creates vision and makes it very difficult for Bounty Hunter to approach unseen, forcing him to risk ganking through a creep wave or go elsewhere.

The laning phase often comes down to this interaction. A successful gank from Bounty Hunter can cripple Keeper and his lane partner. But if Keeper of the Light anticipates the move, a well-timed Blinding Light can push BH away and leave him exposed for a counter-attack. In later teamfights, Track makes it impossible for Keeper to hide, but his goal is to position so far back that Bounty Hunter has to overextend through an entire team to reach him. Success hinges on which hero can better control vision and dictate the terms of the engagement.
