Bounty Hunter vs Necrophos

How this matchup plays

Choosing a physical ganker to play against Necrophos can lead to some awkward moments. Bounty Hunter wants to find a target, stay close while invisible, and then burst it down with attacks. Necrophos directly complicates that plan. His Heartstopper Aura will passively damage a nearby invisible Bounty Hunter, making it dangerous to scout or set up kills. If Bounty Hunter does decide to attack, a quick Ghost Shroud makes Necrophos immune to the physical damage, often leaving BH stranded and vulnerable after his opening move failed.

This dynamic forces Bounty Hunter to play more cautiously. He may have to avoid ganking Necrophos entirely, which can give Necro the space he needs to farm and become a problem for the whole team. Bounty Hunter's own low health pool also puts him at risk. A typical skirmish can leave him low enough to become a prime target for Reaper's Scythe, which not only secures the kill but adds significant time to his respawn. BH can still be effective by focusing on other heroes, but Necrophos's presence limits his options and makes his job noticeably harder.
