Bounty Hunter vs Night Stalker

How this matchup plays

Choosing one of these heroes into the other creates a specific cat-and-mouse game over information. Bounty Hunter's entire job is to provide vision and disrupt the enemy's plans, and Track is the perfect tool to do that against a ganker like Night Stalker. Seeing Night Stalker coming completely ruins his element of surprise, letting your team avoid or counter his aggressive moves. On the other hand, Night Stalker is one of the best heroes for hunting down and isolating a target. If he catches Bounty Hunter, the silence from Crippling Fear prevents him from using Shadow Walk or items to escape, usually securing the kill.

The outcome often depends on which hero gets to dictate the pace. During the day, Bounty Hunter has a much easier time roaming and setting up Tracks. Once the first night hits, however, the tables turn and the map becomes incredibly dangerous for him. If Night Stalker can repeatedly find and kill a solo Bounty Hunter, he starves the enemy team of vision and gold. But if Bounty Hunter's team plays together, they can use the vision from Track to collapse on Night Stalker and turn his own aggression against him. It’s a very even fight that hinges on team coordination.
