How this matchup plays

Getting Tracked by Bounty Hunter is a huge problem for Pudge. The vision reveals his hook attempts from the trees, and the extra gold makes him a priority target whenever he shows on the map. A Pudge who likes to roam and make plays can end up feeding a lot of gold to the enemy team. However, Bounty Hunter is also a very fragile hero. If Pudge lands a single Meat Hook, Bounty Hunter often dies to the full Dismember combo without any chance to escape. This creates a standoff where both heroes can be a huge threat to the other.

The matchup becomes a game of vision and positioning. Bounty Hunter wants his team to play around his Track, using the information to avoid Pudge's ganks and collapse on him when he’s out of place. Pudge, in turn, needs his team to provide detection so he can find and eliminate Bounty Hunter before a fight even starts. It often comes down to which hero gets the better start and can dictate the tempo of the mid-game. If Pudge finds early kills, he can get tanky enough to ignore BH; if Bounty Hunter gets his team ahead with Track gold, Pudge becomes a liability.
