Bristleback vs Disruptor

How this matchup plays

Picking Disruptor into a Bristleback often hinges on a single spell. Glimpse is a perfect tool for managing Bristleback’s aggression, sending him straight back to his starting point right after he dives past your team. Following that up with a Static Storm can be devastating, as the silence prevents Bristleback from spamming Quill Spray to build up Warpath stacks and damage. If he gets caught in Kinetic Field as well, he's a sitting duck, unable to turn his back to reduce incoming damage. This control combination is the main reason Disruptor can feel like an answer.

The matchup really depends on timing and execution. Disruptor has the advantage if he can repeatedly catch Bristleback out of position before he gets too tanky. The game becomes much harder for Disruptor once Bristleback has items that let him survive the initial burst of control, like a Black King Bar or a Hood of Defiance. From there, Bristleback's goal is to close the gap and run Disruptor down. It often comes down to which hero's plan works first: Disruptor's lockdown or Bristleback's overwhelming durability and sustained damage.
