How this matchup plays

Fighting into an Omniknight can be frustrating because his entire kit seems designed to shut down your game plan. Guardian Angel makes your team immune to physical damage, which nullifies Quill Spray and your right-clicks for its duration. Heavenly Grace also provides a strong dispel, which Omniknight can use to cleanse Viscous Nasal Goo stacks off a focused target, ruining your setup. On the other hand, Omniknight's Purification is only a major threat if you're facing him; if he casts it while you have your back turned, your Bristleback passive will reduce the damage.

The matchup often comes down to a battle of cooldowns. Omniknight wants to hold his ultimate for the most critical moment, turning a fight when you've fully committed. Bristleback's job is to apply constant pressure, trying to bait out Guardian Angel or force Omniknight to use Heavenly Grace defensively before you're ready for the real fight. If you can force him to use his spells and then back off, you can re-engage a few seconds later when his team is vulnerable.
