Centaur Warrunner vs Dragon Knight

How this matchup plays

Trading hits in the lane often feels like a stalemate. Dragon Knight's Dragon Blood provides so much armor and regeneration that he can shrug off most physical harass. However, Centaur Warrunner’s Double Edge deals pure damage, completely ignoring all that armor and making trades feel much more even. While neither hero has a simple way to secure a solo kill on the other, Centaur’s Retaliate also punishes Dragon Knight for every right-click, slowly chipping away at his health. It becomes a battle of attrition where Dragon Knight is trying to out-sustain damage he can't mitigate.

As the game progresses, the matchup becomes a question of which hero enables their team's strategy better. Centaur Warrunner wants to find pickoffs across the map using Stampede and a Blink Dagger initiation. Dragon Knight, on the other hand, wants to group up with his team and methodically take towers while in Elder Dragon Form. These plans don't directly interfere with each other, so it comes down to execution. If Centaur's team can build a lead through ganks, they win. If Dragon Knight's team can secure map control by taking objectives, they come out ahead.
