Centaur Warrunner vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Trying to close the distance on Snapfire can be frustrating for a Centaur Warrunner. Her kit is built to keep melee heroes at bay, using Scatterblast's slow to create space and Firesnap Cookie to hop away if Centaur gets too close with a Hoof Stomp. While he's trying to find an angle, Snapfire can often sit far in the backline and chip away at his team with Mortimer Kisses. This forces Centaur to rely on a perfect initiation, because a prolonged fight where he can be kited usually favors Snapfire's team.

The matchup often hinges on Centaur getting a Blink Dagger. Before that, he has a very hard time reaching Snapfire. Afterward, the threat of an instant Blink-Stomp combo forces her to play much more cautiously. A successful Stampede from Centaur's team can run her down before she can react, but a well-positioned Snapfire can use her Cookie to escape over a cliff or get saved by a teammate. It becomes a game of chicken, where the first one to blink or get caught out of position is the one who loses the fight.
