Chaos Knight vs Lina

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst Chaos Knight from full health often goes wrong. A hero like Lina depends on landing her entire spell combo on one target, but Chaos Knight's Phantasm splits him into multiple illusions. This forces her to guess which one is real, and even a correct guess can be instantly undone when he creates more fakes. Her Laguna Blade can get completely wasted on an illusion that was about to expire anyway. His Reality Rift also means that if he gets close, Lina doesn't have an easy way to escape the grasp of him and his copies.

This puts Lina on the back foot for most of the mid-game. She has to play much more cautiously, relying on vision and positioning to avoid getting jumped. Items that help her survive the initial burst or let her clear illusions become more valuable. For Chaos Knight, the game plan is simple: find Lina, pull her in, and let the illusions do the work. The matchup tilts in his favor, but it depends on him finding those pickoffs. If Lina can successfully play around her team and avoid getting isolated, she can still contribute her damage from a safe distance.
