Trying to delete a target with Chaos Knight's combo often comes down to one question: is Global Silence available? A well-timed ultimate from Silencer can completely stop a gank, saving the target and leaving Chaos Knight's illusions standing around awkwardly. On the other hand, Silencer himself is an extremely fragile hero with no escape. If Chaos Knight can close the distance with Reality Rift and land a Chaos Bolt before Global Silence comes out, Silencer dies almost instantly. It’s a classic initiator versus counter-initiator showdown where whoever acts first usually wins the exchange.

The result is a mid-game dance around a single long cooldown. When Global Silence is down, Chaos Knight has a massive window to play aggressively and hunt for kills across the map, knowing the big teamfight reset is gone.
