Trying to swarm Muerta with a big creep army seems like the obvious plan, but that pressure often evaporates. Once Muerta uses Pierce the Veil, she becomes immune to all the physical damage from Chen and his converted creeps. This lets her ignore the zoo and focus fire a key target with magical damage, completely turning around a gank or teamfight. The Calling also makes it difficult for Chen’s units to navigate and do their job. The advantage is only slight because outside of her ultimate’s duration, Muerta is very vulnerable to being pinned down by creeps with lockdown. Chen can also use Hand of God to counter-burst her target.
