Chen vs Sand King

How this matchup plays

Trying to pressure a tower with creeps against a Sand King is often a losing play. A single Sand Storm can wipe out Chen’s entire army, turning his early-game push into a gold donation. This problem only gets worse as the game progresses. In mid-game teamfights, Epicenter provides another massive area-of-effect spell that deletes the neutral creeps and heavily damages Chen himself. Without his army, Chen offers very little threat, and Sand King has multiple efficient tools to dismantle it at every stage, completely undermining the core strategy of building and applying pressure with controlled units.
