Crystal Maiden vs Earthshaker

How this matchup plays

Channeling a full Freezing Field is a real challenge against an Earthshaker. He can reliably cancel Crystal Maiden's ultimate from a screen away with Fissure, or simply jump on her with Blink Dagger and Echo Slam. This forces her to play from a huge distance or wait until his stuns are already on cooldown. On the flip side, Crystal Maiden's Frostbite is a perfect tool for stopping Earthshaker in his tracks. If she catches him before he can initiate, he's a slow melee hero who can be kited and burst down. It's a tense standoff where vision and reflexes often decide who gets their spells off first.

This dynamic means the early game often goes in Crystal Maiden's favor. Her laning pressure can set Earthshaker back, delaying his critical Blink Dagger timing. Once he has it, though, the game changes entirely. Earthshaker starts hunting, and CM becomes his prime target. Successful teamfights for her side depend on her team being able to protect her from his initiation. If they can bait out his stuns or lock him down first, she's free to use her ultimate. If Earthshaker finds her, the fight can be over before it begins.
