Crystal Maiden vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Holding a hero like Wraith King still is what Crystal Maiden is designed to do. Her Frostbite can lock him down for her team, and a full Freezing Field can potentially burn through both of his lives if he's trapped. The problem for her is that Wraith King has a very simple plan: find her and stun her. A single Wraithfire Blast is often enough to set up a kill on the fragile support. His skeletons also create constant pressure, easily hunting Crystal Maiden down if she’s caught out of position while warding or moving through the jungle.

This dynamic makes early fights feel very conditional. Ganking Wraith King is possible, but his Reincarnation means he can survive the attempt and waste your team's time. Later on, teamfights depend heavily on positioning. If Crystal Maiden can stay safe in the backline, her spells can control Wraith King and deplete his health pool. If he gets the jump on her, however, she dies almost immediately, and her team loses a huge amount of control and damage before the engagement properly begins.
