Dark Seer vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Pulling a big carry into Wall of Replica is usually Dark Seer's dream, but Wraith King is a special case. His entire purpose in a fight is to absorb attention, die, and come back for a second round with Reincarnation. This directly undermines Dark Seer’s main combo, which relies on a single massive burst of damage from his team to follow up a Vacuum. Wraith King is happy to stand his ground and tank through the initial chaos. He also has built-in lifesteal that can mitigate the constant burn from Ion Shell, making him more durable than other carries against Dark Seer's chip damage.

A typical fight involves Dark Seer landing a good setup, and his team successfully bursting down Wraith King's first life. The problem is the aftermath. Reincarnation’s powerful slow creates a huge window for Wraith King’s team to turn the fight while Dark Seer's allies are scattered and his own spells are on cooldown. Killing Wraith King a second time, often after the Wall illusions have expired, is a much harder task. For Dark Seer to succeed, his team needs excellent coordination to manage both of WK's lives, which isn't always reliable.
