Dark Willow vs Disruptor

How this matchup plays

Getting caught by Disruptor is usually a death sentence, but Dark Willow has the perfect tool to escape. A Glimpse that should lead to an easy kill can be completely negated by a well-timed Shadow Realm, leaving Dark Willow untargetable and safe. This makes it difficult for Disruptor to land his full combo of Kinetic Field and Static Storm. On the other hand, Dark Willow's own disables like Bramble Maze or Cursed Crown are often too chaotic to guarantee a kill on a backline support who can simply walk away if his team isn't already committed.

This leaves both heroes feeling like they can't quite accomplish their primary goals. Disruptor wants to find a clean pick-off, but Dark Willow is too slippery. Dark Willow wants to create chaos and have her team follow up, but Disruptor's team can often be held back by his defensive spells. As a result, they tend to nullify each other's strengths rather than one dominating the other. The fight often comes down to which hero's teammates are better positioned to take advantage of the brief openings that are created.
