Dark Willow vs Jakiro

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other creates a tactical standoff more than a clear advantage. Jakiro wants to control space with layered, slow-moving spells like Ice Path and Dual Breath. Dark Willow, however, is built to evade exactly that kind of threat. With tools like Shadow Realm, she can become untargetable to dodge the incoming stun or damage, and the long cast animations on Jakiro's spells give her a generous window to react. This fundamental clash of slow area-denial versus high mobility and evasion is what keeps the matchup from leaning heavily one way or the other.

Later in the game, this becomes a battle of positioning. Dark Willow is often forced to play patiently, baiting out Jakiro's spells before she can safely use Bedlam. A well-timed Cursed Crown can be effective, but Jakiro usually positions far enough back to be safe. Jakiro, in turn, uses Macropyre to deny huge areas of the fight, forcing Willow to either stay out or risk getting caught after her defensive abilities are used. The fight often comes down to which support better predicts the other's positioning and forces a crucial cooldown first.
