Dark Willow vs Lina

How this matchup plays

Fighting a Lina often comes down to a duel of reflexes, and Dark Willow has the tools to make it a fair fight. If Lina lands a clean Light Strike Array, Willow is almost certainly dead before she can react. The matchup hinges on Dark Willow's ability to anticipate the burst. By activating Shadow Realm before Lina can target her, she can become untargetable and wait out the initial combo. This forces Lina to either guess Willow's timing or expose herself trying to land the initial stun, creating a tense standoff where the faster player usually comes out ahead.

This dynamic continues through the entire game. In lane, they are both fragile and trade harass from a distance. Later, it becomes about vision and who gets the first move. A farmed Lina can delete Dark Willow from the fog of war. In a full teamfight, however, a well-placed Bramble Maze or a Cursed Crown can lock Lina down long enough for Willow's team to collapse on her. Neither hero can confidently jump the other without an advantage, as the one who gets caught out of position first is the one who dies.
