Dark Willow vs Nyx Assassin

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a target with Bedlam often backfires horribly against a Nyx Assassin. His Spiked Carapace can instantly reflect the damage and stun Dark Willow, completely turning her own aggression against her. Beyond that, Nyx’s Mana Burn is devastating for a hero so reliant on her spell combos to be effective. A few well-timed burns can leave Willow unable to cast Cursed Crown or Bramble Maze, making her a non-factor in fights before they even begin. Nyx has the perfect kit to dismantle everything she wants to do.

This dynamic forces Dark Willow to play an entirely different game. Instead of setting up kills and being an offensive threat, she's stuck on the defensive, constantly worried about being found by an invisible Nyx Assassin. She can’t safely place wards or move between lanes alone. To have any impact, Willow needs to stay far behind her team and hope they can deal with Nyx before he gets to her. Otherwise, she’s little more than a quick kill and a source of mana for him across the entire map.
