Playing as a squishy support against Pudge means a single mistake can be fatal. For Dark Willow, getting caught by a Meat Hook almost always leads to a swift death from Dismember, as she lacks the health pool to survive the combo. Her main defense is Shadow Realm, which can make her untargetable to dodge the initial hook, but it requires sharp reflexes and good positioning. Pudge also builds up magic resistance over the game with Flesh Heap, making him more durable against Willow's magical burst from spells like Bedlam, which helps him close the distance on her.

This dynamic makes the early and mid-game a constant threat for Dark Willow, forcing her to play cautiously and maintain vision. In fights, her goal is to stay on the edge, using Bramble Maze and Cursed Crown to control Pudge and protect her teammates.
