Dark Willow vs Skywrath Mage

How this matchup plays

Getting caught by Skywrath Mage’s Ancient Seal is a disaster for Dark Willow. It completely shuts down her ability to use Shadow Realm to become untargetable, leaving her exposed to his full magic burst. Because she's so fragile, she rarely survives this without help. The reverse is also true, though. Dark Willow's Cursed Crown can lock down the equally squishy Skywrath, who has no way to dispel it or escape on his own. A good stun will let her run him down with Bedlam before he can react.

The lane and mid-game often feel like a duel of who initiates first, so vision control is everything. A Skywrath Mage playing from the fog can easily land his silence, but if he pushes up too far, he’s an easy target for a wrap-around from Willow. In teamfights, it's a similar story: whichever of these two gets jumped on first by the other usually dies instantly. The entire game revolves around which of these glass cannons finds the other one out of position first.
