Dark Willow vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Getting caught by a full Warlock combo is difficult for any hero, and Dark Willow is no exception. Her control spells like Bramble Maze and Cursed Crown encourage her team to clump together for a kill, which plays directly into a big Fatal Bonds. The Golem from Chaotic Offering also creates a huge problem, as it's a durable body that can shrug off her magic and chase her down. While Willow can use Shadow Realm to dodge the initial stun and buy time, she can't hide forever from a Golem or the shared damage from her bonded allies.

This leaves fights between Dark Willow and Warlock on a knife's edge. The outcome often depends on which of them gets to dictate the engagement. If Willow's team can find and burst Warlock before he can cast his ultimate, they are in a great position. But if Warlock is positioned safely and can counter-initiate with Chaotic Offering, the fight swings heavily the other way. Each hero forces the other to play with extreme care, as a single misstep in positioning can decide the outcome before the real damage even starts.
