Dark Willow vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Catching Weaver is the whole game, and Dark Willow has the perfect tools for it. Bramble Maze creates a field he can't easily Shukuchi through, and a single root is often enough to secure a kill. Cursed Crown is even more difficult for him to deal with. The stun follows him through Shukuchi, forcing him to either use Time Lapse early or get blown up by follow-up damage before the stun even lands. All of Dark Willow's lockdown directly counters the mobility that Weaver relies on to stay alive and deal damage.

This dynamic makes laning and mid-game fights very difficult for Weaver. He can’t play aggressively if Dark Willow has her spells ready, as he's a prime target for her control. His best bet is to play around her cooldowns, baiting out a Cursed Crown on an ally before committing to a fight, or building items to purge the debuff. Meanwhile, Willow's plan is simple: hold spells for Weaver and delete him the moment he shows up. This constant threat gives her team a slight but consistent upper hand.
