Dawnbreaker vs Death Prophet

How this matchup plays

Trying to kite with a well-timed Silence seems like the obvious play, but it doesn't work out against Dawnbreaker. The problem is that once she starts channeling Starbreaker, she's committed. A silence won't stop the hammer swings or the final stun from landing. Death Prophet is too slow and fragile to survive that combo once Dawnbreaker closes the gap. She can't create space, and Dawnbreaker's own natural tankiness lets her walk through Crypt Swarm to get into position. It's a simple, brutal interaction that leaves Death Prophet without her primary defensive tool.

This forces Death Prophet to play a completely different game. Her whole plan revolves around using Exorcism to siege towers with her team, but that makes her a huge, stationary target for Solar Guardian. Dawnbreaker can drop in from anywhere on the map to punish the push, often landing right on top of Death Prophet herself. This global threat completely disrupts DP's timing and forces her to play scared. She has to rely entirely on her teammates for saves, because she has no reliable way to handle the direct assault from Dawnbreaker.
